As our skin ages, the volume is lost in our cheeks as the subcutaneous fat starts to sag, resulting in a tired, sunken and lined face. Dermal fillers are tiny injections of hyaluronic acid that lift, plump, and rejuvenate the skin, restoring the lost volume. Hyaluronic Acid is a natural substance found throughout our bodies, it attracts and retains water, so not only volumises but improves texture and smoothness. The treatments produce instant results and can last from 12 to 18 months.
Dermal fillers are ideal for areas such as:
Cheeks and Temples
Fillers in the cheeks and temples help to lift sagging skin throughout the whole face.
Marionette lines and nasolabial folds can be treated directly, but often treating the cheeks will lift this area. Individual lines can be smoothed out with a superficial filler.
Lips thin out and develop fine lines. Fillers can be used to subtly plump your lips and renew the youthful clear, defined lines. You can choose to have a fuller lip or keep your lips the same size, and just firm up the border and rehydrate the body of the lip.
Dark circles and sunken eyes can be improved significantly with fine fillers around the eyes.
Fillers can be used to minimise bumps and straighten crooked noses.
Jaw Line and Chin
The aim of fillers is to naturally replace the lost volume and restore your face to its original youthful glow. The results should not alter your appearance but simply turn back the clock.

Dr Hill is always extremely professional and takes time to explain procedures thoroughly beforehand. I would recommend her and her staff at Hampton 100%.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions will I need for Fillers?
Each treatment is tailored to the individual. Someone who has aged more, will require more filler. Sometimes it helps to plan a staged treatment with a treatment every 3 months until the desired result is achieved. With significant ageing, this is like putting in the foundations to start with, then as time goes on, we can build on these.
Am I suitable for having Fillers?
We would not recommend treating anyone who is pregnant or breast feeding, or who is immunocompromised in any way.
What areas can be treated with Fillers?
Can I sleep on my face after having Fillers?
Filler sets within 20 minutes, so it won’t do much harm if you do sleep on your face. If you can sleep on your back it will make your filler last longer. Sleeping on your face, will age the side you sleep on more rapidly.
What are the possible side effects of Fillers?
Bruising, swelling and tenderness are common. Swelling usually settles within 24hours, bruising may take a few days, but can be covered with make up the next day. Infection is always a possibility whenever the skin is injected, this can be an early infection i.e. within the first week after treatment, or it can be delayed presenting 6months later with a nodule. A very rare complication of filler is vascular occlusion.
All medical treatments have the potential of risks and complications, this is why it is so important to have highly skilled medical professions doing your treatment who are equally equipped to deal with problems if they arise.
I don’t want to like unnatural, with a pillow-face or trout pout, is that possible?
If you can see someone has had filler, it hasn’t been done well. All filler should look natural. The aim is to restore you to your old self, not make you into someone you are not.
What type of fillers do you use?
The two most popular filers used in our clinic are Juvaderm Vycross range by Allergan, and the Belotero range by Merz. Other products can be used on request.
